Shoulders to Lean On
It may be hard to believe...but Willerup Church has been foundational to Youth ministry since 1907! Back then, we were known as the Epworth League! Willerup helped create supportive communities for students to overcome their difficulties and anxieties to become all God created them to become. We understand how helpful it is for students going through life issues to find a safe place where they can build friendships, connections and Christian community with others who understand what they’re experiencing. What do we do at Youth Group?
Simple answer? Eat, hangout and learn about how Jesus changes things.
It's not Rocket Science, we get enough of that in school. What we do on Wednesday nights at 6:30pm is have fun in a stress-free environment. Seriously, no drama.
We talk to other people. We listen to them. We offer what we want to share and sometimes we go away from a Youth Group meeting unchanged. But, sometimes we go away from Youth Group meeting super-charged up about Jesus and what He has done for us.
Other times...we just need someone to notice that we are having trouble dealing with life. And that my friend...makes all the difference. Come and see.
