Questions we ask...

Willerup Youth believes everything we do is founded in our core belief that no one should ever feel they are alone. We all have our own life’s journey, but the path shouldn’t be a lonely one. Our commitment is to provide a safe space for sharing, listening, learning, and supporting each other...and asking questions. (Good ones are always welcomed!)

Questions students are asking...

Is God kind and loving or is He a perfectionist? It seems hard to accept that God banished Adam and Eve after messing up one time.

So, I understand that extremely bad people go to hell and really good people go to heaven, what if I am somewhere in the middle?

What happens in hell?

So, I believe that I am going to keep coming back after I die. But, I might be a bug or a butterfly. I also believe in past lives. I think there are things that we can know--but how would we know that if we hadn't lived it?

Weird stuff happens. How do I know what is weird, what is me and what is God?

What is Paradise? Is it a place? Is it Biblically sound or is it something totally made up?

The Book of Revelation is filled with stuff people make theories about to scare us into believing what they want to believe. What is the Anti-Christ? What is the Lake of Fire? Wasn't that a way John could write about what was happening to the Christians at that time?

Crazy stuff happens that Christians believe--like cults--the whole community decided to drink poison and die! Are there variations of Christianity and if there are which one is right?

What is Orthodoxy? What is the difference between variations of Christianity and other world religions?

How do I know what is right and wrong? What can I do that is 'more right' and 'less wrong?'

I have a friend who says, "I want to wait to give my life to Christ because I want to live the way I want to live first." How do I respond to that?

I have a friend who says, "Being a Christian is not fun. Why would I want to give up the way I like having fun?" How do I respond to that?

God seems so selfish, "worship Me only, give Me all the glory, I am the only way...He seems so exclusive." What is the truth and what does this mean?

I have a friend who is atheist. He believes that when we die, we cease to exist and there is peace. Shouldn't we be working toward the same peace? Is that what death is....making peace?

Why would I want to be in heaven if all my friends are in hell?

My understanding of God is He says, "Married people should not be unequally yoked." But, shouldn't we be in relationships with people so that we can lead them to Jesus? I don't think it is right to only be with people who are Christians or to only date Christians. What is right?

Are some sins worse than others? What is the 'unforgivable sin?'

How do I understand the Bible? I mean the entire thing...what is in it that makes it so great?

I have a friend who believes in the Big Bang theory. She believes in the scientific theory of all things and Evolution is a real thing. She believes everything happened that way. How do I respond?
