Dangerous Things

What if the most dangerous thing happening right now isn’t unbelief…

…but the slow drift into living as if God’s design doesn’t matter?

We believe in God —but we build our lives like He has nothing to say aboutidentity, sex, marriage, family, money, bodies, boundaries, or purpose.

Consider Proverbs 7.

A young man wanders.

Wrong place.

Wrong time.

No direction.

A voice whispers:

“No one will know.

This will feel good.

There won’t be consequences.”

That voice sounds so modern.

“Do whatever you want.”“No limits.”“Follow your heart.”

But the chapter ends with a warning siren: “Her house is a highway to the grave.”

And the fruit is everywhere:

• families breaking

• lost, exhausted, anxious kids

• adults drowning in confusion, addiction and despair

• suicidal thoughts rising

• creation itself groaning

• souls restless, empty, unanchored

Not because God is cruel —but because we are ignoring the design.

The Bible doesn’t shame us. It trains us for a well-lived life.

Break the design — we break.

Honor the design — we flourish.

And here’s where it gets personal. Most of us say,“I believe in God.” But, we move through our days making choices about time, money, bodies, screens, relationships, work, and rest…

without ever asking Him. Not defiant.Just detached.

But Proverbs keeps calling us back:

“Write My words on your heart.Keep them close. Live by them.”

Because wisdom isn’t theory. It’s moment-by-moment alignment.

So maybe the question isn’t meant to accuse us — but to awaken us:

👉 When I detach God from the design of my everyday life…am I quietly a practical atheist?

Lord — I confess, I’ve never really thought about it. Please forgive me.

Teach me Your rhythm.

Show me Your design.

Help me live surrendered, aligned and fully alive in You. Not for me, not for us, but for them.
